"After the defeat of the Luftwaffe on the Western Front, the fight for the skies continued in the Pacific. With the surrender of many of the Germans top geneticists, the dinosaur resurrection program continued under US control on the island of Maui. This photo documents the first test flight of a hypnotically controlled Pterodactyl with a P-47 Thunderbolt acting as the wingman. Although the program was a great success against the Japanese later in the war, the first test failed as a result of the Pterodactyl attacking and consuming the pilot. Plane, pilot and test subject were lost 60 miles East of Hawaii."
