Designed in 1983, the LAV-25 is an eight-wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicle currently deployed by US Marines and the Canadian Army. It functions as a highly mobile, armored weapons platform and personnel carrier. Much like other modern day armored vehicles, it is designed for utility and can fulfill many different support roles. Armed with a Bushmaster 25mm chain gun, the LAV-25 is crewed by three people and can transport up to four fully-geared soldiers.
